The American education system is screwed up.

It's an ugly truth most of us are aware of and confronted with on a daily basis. As educators, we see it in the unmotivated faces of our students. As academics, we see it in the utter disregard, or worse, blatant contempt for our research. And as people, we've experienced it first hand through the antiquated, irrational, and ineffective learning models still prevalent in our education system from kindergarten through doctoral studies.

So let me ask you this

Are you sick and tired of stifling your passion and creativity in a system built and run from ivory towers?

If so, you've come to the right place!

White Ink Diaries

is where rogue academics come to raise a little hell while dismantling the ivory tower one brick at a time.

My name is Jennika and I help other rebellious, unorthodox, and academically curious individuals escape the stagnation of the not-so-modern education system by thinking differently about the way they approach education and academia. Drawing inspiration from Hélène Cixous’s essay “The Laugh of the Medusa,” I want to shatter the rhetorical silences that keep our students disengaged from and apathetic toward their own education. It’s my goal to create an environment where students put themselves into their education, and the world, through their own resilience. Not because they are told that’s how it should be, but because they believe in themselves enough to cultivate their creativity and intellect.
