Fiction 101
An Introduction to Literary Devices and Criticism
Fiction 101 provides an introduction to the basic forms of literature and literary criticism. While the course lecture materials are agnostic, the short stories and novels featured in the course are from the genre of magical realism—a genre that rides the line between genre fiction and literary fiction. Both the novels and short stories included in this course teach the potentialities, the range, and the technique of short and long-form narrative.
